The meaning of Ghazal
"Ghazal" is an Arabic/Farsi word, which means 'praising the beauty of the beloved'. Ghazal is written in the poetry form. It includes 'radeef' (rhyming) and kaafiyaa' (comes before radeef)
"Mil bhi jaate hain, to katraa ke nikal jaate hain
Hi mausam ki tarah, dost badal jaate hain".
In this 'sher' (couplet) 'jaate hain' is the radeef and 'nikal and badal' is kaafiyaa.
There are twelve 'Behars' (meter), in which most of the ghazals are written.
